In the process to boost the integrated and speedy tourism development of the State, the Department of Tourism, U.P. has introduced "Single Window System" scheme vide G.O. NO. 3227/41-2005- 191/2004, dated 17-02-2005. Under the scheme Capital investment proposals of entrepreneurs shall be cleared under single roof process by the Divisional and State level Committees. Such proposals shall be submitted by the entrepreneurs to the Regional Tourist Officer who, in turn, will scrutinise it and, if there is any error, get it corrected by the entrepreneur. The Regional Tourist Officer will then arrange a meeting under the chairmanship of the Divisional Commissioner and ensure necessary NOCs and permissions from concerned departments on such proposals. Investment proposals up to Rs. 50.00 Cr. shall be decided at the division level by the Divisional level Committee.

Divisional level Committee shall study the proposals received from entrepreneurs under the Single Window System and shall secure required approvals, sanctions, no-objections, licenses etc. from the concerned departments. All such proposals from entrepreneurs shall be put up before the Divisional level Committees who will take decision on these proposals within two months. In all such cases where more time is required for clearance, these shall be reported to the State level Committee and the entrepreneurs concerned by the Divisional level Committee. Where it is not possible for the Divisional level Committee to take a decision, it shall refer all such proposals to the State level Committee, where it is not possible for it to take a decision.

Proposals as referred to by the Divisional level Committee shall be decided by the State level Committee. If the Divisional level Committee does not decide any proposal within two months, the State level Committee can suo moto take decision on such proposals.
