Built in 1894 in Indo-Sarasenic style, this palace has
ten bedrooms, one large dining rooms with pantry and two lounges (one
on each floor)

The Palace also has 8 acres of lawns and grounds around
it with servants quarters at the back.

The Eastern entrance of the famous Dudhwa National
Park, which was once the hunting reserve of the Rajas of Singhai is
eight kilometers from the Palace.

The guest list who had enjoyed the hospitality included
Teddy Roosevelt, Prince of Wales, Duke of Connaught, Viceroys of
India, Maharajas and Governors of different provinces, all attracted
by the wild life of Dudhwa and Serene surroundings.

Geographic visited area to photograph the wildlife and stayed at the
Palace.

The Government of Uttar Pradesh has launched a tourism
development plan to put this area on tourism map. Although a four
hours drive from Lucknow now, it has landing airstrip in PALIA, 22 kms
away from the palace at the other end of the national park. Air-taxi
service is being considered by some parties.

Fishing and trekking are the joys one can enjoy apart from the thrills
of flora and fauna of Dudhwa National Park.
